Not all lawyers are inherintley evil, however 9 out of the 10 that I have met are missing morals and ethics. I think that some where in law school lawyers lose a key piece to being apart of the human condition for the love of money. The analogy I use when I am asked why I don't cecome a lawyer is this:
A lawyer draws the line in the sand, the lne representing his or her ethics and morals they will not cross. They say defiantly to passerbyes, "Nope I will not cross this line!" They get hungry, and just across the line is a food stand. So they cross the line to get something to eat. They say, I was justified in crossing that line, I was hungry. So to make themselves feel alrght they draw a new line and say, "I will not cross this line!" It starts to rain, and just across the line is a canopy to stand under. So they cross it, and they make self indulging reasons why it was okay and draw a new one.
As long as most lawyers Practice law, they bend them to suit their needs. I will be glad to illustrate this later through personal experience. If i can get permission from some clients I will add theirs as well as my own. In comes the New York State Bar's Proffesional Standards. A code of Conduct for lawyers to follow (which most dont because citizens don't know these standards). You will know them after reading this and will know how to report a corrupt lawyer.
New York State Proffessional Standards is very detailed and it should be noted that if you are having a problem in New York you should read Article 1 Subsection 6 of the New York State Constitution, the right to Competant Council. This is a very Lengthy Issue and will be following this post later on.

There are two types of Attorneys, Private and Public:
I love organized Chaos theory so lets start with Private and then go to Public.

The main thing to realize here is that a Private Lawyer WORKS FOR YOU, FOR CASH!
This means they are supposed to do what you want, not what they want. But don't get irrational. The bulk of New Yorks Private attorneys are for Divorce and family court proceedings as well as traffic tickets. Personally I think you are dense if you get a lawyer for a traffic ticket unless its a dwi or some other felony type charge.
Private Lawyers are supposed to repressent their clients with zeal. This means to the fullest extent of their mental capacities without breaking the LAW! It does not give an adverse attorney the right to blantantly violate your rights.

The Poor Mans Guide to New York State Law
"Governments should be transparent so that its citizens understand how they are being governed. It is my promise to the citizens of this great nation, should I be elected President, I will uphold that standard and ask that of all Local Offices" - Now President Obama during the electoral race for presidency.
Government Transaprancy Is a Myth:
I have other blogs on here that come back to this so I may as well make one that makes it clear and concise what the Federal Law for the US says, as well as the State of New York. If anyone from another state needs me to research a law, feel free to drop a comment and I can look it up for you. Off the bat, I am not a lawyer. I don't want to be a vampiric leech on indigent poor people, making them lose their homes and lives needlessley. I am a researcher, and an advocate. Come two months I will be a state certified mediator. I know the law as a client who was being treated like a dummy. I spent 5 years in a law library reading every book on New York State law. If I so chose, I could take the Bar and Pass with my eyes shut. I don't need to do that. Everything I say is in black and white in law and court rulings, and I will be giving them to you.
It is not for you to be a lawyer, it is for you to know what the Government (judiciary body) is doing to violate the law and your rights. I will also post a copy of some complaint form info and contacts to file. If you are as mad as I was, you will do it. Remember, if someone violated your rights most likely they violated another's. Find out the calendar dates that judge is on, and go to the court and ask around if they have violated another's rights, give them the form. 12 complaints to an agency are more credible for review than one.
I will start with NY State Law. I will pic a grouping and give you a law and cases. I will go into great detail so that you are armed. I will see what agency regulations may affect the law and I will foil request that to give to you. I will call up directors and post recordings online for you to hear. In the end you have to decide what you like or dislike, if you dislike you need to write a letter to your elected legislative official and request a change in the law. Ask your friends too. it only takes five minutes.
